Statistics show that British Friesians:- 1) Calve more frequently. 2) Calve more often in their lifetime. 3) Need less replacements. 4) Provide valuable male calves. 5) Have lower cell counts 6) Have higher fat and protein percent. The breed has developed over time in direct response to UK conditions. They are capable of high mature yields produced over many lactations, with impressive feed efficiency due to their lower maintenance requirement.
